Š.m. liepos 16-17 dienomis Lietuvos jaunųjų socialliberalų sąjungos (LJSS) atstovai - Ineta Dambrauskaitė ir pirmininkas Mindaugas Guščius, dalyvavo Lietuvos jaunimo organizacijų tarybos (LiJOT) Vasaros akademijoje.
Savanoriška veikla yra viena iš demokratinės valstybės pamato dalių, galimybė piliečiams realizuoti save ne tik profesinėje, bet ir asmeninėje erdvėje. Todėl, siekiant skatinti piliečius aktyviau įsitraukti į visuomeninę veiklą, 2011 metai paskelbti savanorystės metais! Kad šie metai būtų sėkmingi prisideda ir LiJOT. Vasaros akademijos tema: savanorystė (žmogiškieji ištekliai).
Renginio metu darbas vyko atskirose grupėse ir bendrosiose sesijose. Bendrųjų sesijų metu, pasitelkus profesionalių lektorių pagalbą, buvo gvildenamos pagrindinės savanorystės temos: kas yra savanorystė? Kodėl ji reikalinga? Savanorystė tarptautiniu ir Lietuvos lygmeniu... Taip pat buvo pateikta konkrečių faktų. LiJOT Vasaros akademijos dalyviai, atsižvelgdami į savo organizacijos trūkumus, patirtį ar tiesiog norą gilinti žinias tam tikroje srityje, turėjo alternatyvią galimybę dalyvauti darbo grupėse jiems naudingomis temomis. LJSS atstovai dalinosi patirtimi, mintimis ir pasiūlymais „Naujų narių pritraukimas“, „Patyrusių narių išlaikymas“, „Narių motyvacija“ grupių veikloje.
Didelis Ačiū visai LiJOT komandai už puikiai suorganizuotą renginį, linksmai ir labai naudingai praleistą laiką. Tikime, jog visa informacija ir geroji patirtis, kuria buvo dalinamasi renginio metu, išliks ilgai ir pravers ateityje.
